CX racing at it’s very best @ South Surrey Athletic Park October 23rd and proud to be part of the Vancouver Lower Mainland Cyclocross Series!
We have included almost every type of terrain in the revised 3.4km per lap course. An uphill road start will take you onto the gravel by the water tower, through the JunkYard Cross Village and past the Red Racer Beer Garden and onto the grass. As you pass around the water reservoir you will encounter off camber hills before you plummet back onto gravel and onto the BLT trail in the forest. Scramble up the Drop Zone, the steepest muddiest section and back onto gravel. A second pass of the beer garden, (perhaps stop in on your way by) then back into forested single track before popping out onto the off camber grass and sidewalk climb. Reverse direction back down the hill while on the off camber swoopy grass then back up the hill on off camber grass along the perimeter of Softball City. We’ve got it all to challenge and entertain you . . .

iRide LMCX Kazlow Cup - Kids Race, bike rentals, and Skill coaches ALL FREE!
Cycling BC, in partnership with the LMCX KazLaw Cup, is proud to announce the 2019 dates of the iRide LMCX KazLaw Cup Kids Series. This project is designed to help local youth experience the sport of cyclocross, and provide incentives for continued participation as the series travels across the region.The iRide skills session will take place in the kid’s mini-course.
For riders participating in the skills session still on strider bikes or who exhibit Pre-iRide or Level 1 skill abilities, we request that parents accompany their child into the arena for the skills session.
Races for children ages 2-8 will take place on the kid’s mini-course. The taster races for ages 8+ will take place on the adult full-course (please meet at the Reg Tent)

Never Cyclocross raced before? No worries as our beginner clinic starts at 5:30 on race days. Learn the basic skills of navigating a CX course from our seasoned racers - all included in your $5 entry.
Beginner race starts at 6:15pm, Intermediate/Advanced races start at 6:45.

The JunkYard Dog was a decade favourite race on the BC Cup series and we are HONOURED TO HOST the 2019 XCO Provincial Championship!
We have extended the course by 1 km per lap, about 7 km total per lap. 6km of forest single track per lap, with log roll overs, the expanded Loop 'n Chute Rock Garden utilizing 13 tons of hand placed granite, the Jayride Booter, and the Little Ripper drop and rock garden has been upgraded. Other great features are the 93 ft long Fender Bender bridge, Loop 'n Chute Rock Roll, the Dive Rock Garden, the Dog Leg bridge, Over The Creek Plank, our Beer Belly bridge, Jayride A-frame, wood wall ride, drops . . . the list goes on! Fast and flowy with 3 pumptrack flow trails, Dy-no-mite Roll, Chainless and Jayride. Big smiles every lap!
The JunkYard Dog course is more fun and challenging than ever before! All more difficult obstacles have an easy go around for those who don’t feel comfortable, with only a slight time penalty. Extended 1 km start and passing zone per lap.

The Start
2 starts, with staggered starts for categories within each start time. 0900 for Junior and Novice classes. 1130 start for 19+ to Elite.
Feed Stations
There will be a marked feed and tech zone just by the water tower, but you’ll be riding by the beer garden twice on every lap so no excuses for not hydrating! (Beer Garden opens at 11, earlier if we can!)
Prizes
There will be cash prizes for Elite Men and Women as per BC Premier XCO criteria; 1st place 5x entry, 2nd 4x entry, 3rd 3x entry, 4th 2x entry, 5th 1x entry.
Podium time for the 0900 race will be at 1200. 1130 race podium will be at approx 1330.

Cycling BC Rider License / Insurance
To race in all categories (EXCEPT; Novice, U13 or 19+), you will need a 2019 UCI or Provincial Race License. For Novice, U13 or 19+, you will need a 2019 Provincial Ride License, or you can purchase a single event license for $10, $12 for US residents. U13 for $5.
All riders must present their 2019 license or proof of purchase/email at the event.
• Single event licenses are only valid for Canadian residents covered under a Federal or Provincial Hospital or Medical Plan.
• US Residents must have a 2019 UCI License and sign a declaration that adequate out of country travel insurance has been obtained. If you have a valid USAC UCI Racing License, you do not need to purchase a single event license.
• Day license purchasers under 19 MUST have a parent or guardian sign the Cycling BC release at registration in order to participate.
• ALL participants must sign a SORCE Bike Club waiver. We will email pre-registrants a copy for you to print, fill in, and bring to check-in on race day.

Self feeding, but you’ll be riding by the beer garden twice on every lap so no excuses for not hydrating! (Beer Garden opens at 11, earlier if we can!)
