The first 3 Toonie races are open for registration. Shed and SSBP XC races have a registration time of 9am with race start at 10am. Toonie to race, Toonie for food, and Toonie for beverage!  SORCE 2018 membership is a must, but you get a t-shirt included so the cost is peanuts.   Register HERE.

The SORCE booth at the Vancouver Bike Show 2018 was a busy place! Over the 2 day show, 100's of attendees dropped by to learn everything about SORCE. We handed out over 125 of our new brochures, which includes a guide to the 11 bike parks in Surrey and Delta. Kids politely grabbed about 300 of the cool decals on hand. Our crew was on hand to answer questions and promote all that we do. Jim made some very special posters highlighting the work that SORCE does, making for a great presentation!

Trail Day 2018 #1 was completed on Feb 3 with continued work on the Loop 'n Chute Rock Garden stabalization and fine tuning. Small improvements were made to the corner of the BLT as you approach 20th Ave and a sweet little berm was finished at JYD 37. Improvements were made by Vince to the rock garden on Little Ripper JYD 8. New container tool organizer racks were completed. Thanks to Larry, Andrew, Mike, Harry, Darren, Peter and Vince.

Trail Day 2018 #2 will be Saturday, Feb 10, SSBP at 10am until late afternoon. Lunch provided. Hope to see you there!

The 2017 SORCE AGM was held on Thursday, November 30, at our Platinum sponsors location, Central City Brewers and Distillers

New and renewing members were given a 2018 t-shirt with their membership, along with a free beer from our host. While socializing with new and old friends, we had a slide show presentation on the 70" screen recapping the years best moments, from trail days, to Toonie races, the JunkYard Dog and JunkYard Cross races, and the most awesome Kids Race Fun Day!

The meeting was started with a Keynote Presentation on the big screen with each Director highlighting their accomplishments for the year. Our financials were reviewed and we finished the year with a healthy increase to the clubs bottom line. The Golden Shovel award was presented again to Larry Joy. Our many sponsors were presented with Thank You awards and those photos can be found HERE.

The Election of Officers yielded the entire 2017 Board of Directors being re-elected. In addition, we welcome 4 new Directors at Large to the team. Congratulations everyone and thank you for committing to 2018! The 2018 list of Directors can be found HERE.

The SORCE 2017 Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, November 30, 7-9pm at Central City Brewers & Distillers, 11411 Bridgeview Dr, Surrey.

It has been a great year for SORCE and we would like to share that with you, present the plans for 2018, and elect officers for the coming year. Renew your membership for 2018 and receive a free Red Racer and a new for 2018 t-shirt!

Consider joining the Executive? We are expanding the number of officers again as we have had many requests to join the board. It is always easier for everyone with more hands available for the many tasks needed to make for a productive club and it is the best way to learn how we do things and pass on valuable experience to those that follow.  New Directors at Large positions will be available for election.

After much planning and excellent cooperation with the City of Surrey, 13.2 tons of custom selected granite was delivered to SSBP on October 30. After about 40 man hours over 4 days of heaving and rolling, we have rough placed about 8 tons of it.

The brain child of Larry Joy, the Loop 'n Chute Rock Garden will add more technical challenge to the JunkYard Dog course. It will be longer than the Dive, not as steep, but more technical. If all goes well, we should be finished by the end of November.

The JunkYard Cross CX Race was another GREAT DAY of racing at South Surrey Athletic Park. With the course being the most technical in the VCXC Kazlaw Cup 6 race series, racers had every kind of terrain to tackle. From forest single track, grass rollers in front of Softball City, loose gravel paths, to the Mud Wall which few could ride due to the very muddy conditions - perfect cycloross weather!

Very special THANK YOU to title sponsor, Daryl Evans Racing - SUPER sponsor of SORCE for over 10 years! The Red Racer Beer garden served 5 of Central City Brewers and Distillers finest brews - IPA, ISA, Amber Ale, Pale Ale and their latest Beer League Lager. All podium first placers received a 6 pack of lager. The Freshslice Pizza tent served up some excellent pizza served hot and voraciously consumed!! 

The Race Village was a very busy place with racer and sponsor tents. Gold sponsor The Bike Zone brought complete mechanical support, had a great display of product and provided the racers with a ton of great swag! Norco Bikes had their latest CX bikes on display, Garneau had an assortment of product, and Tairin Wheels showcased their fine wheels and building skills. Little Big Shot Energy drinks and Nitro Lube were on hand to show and sample their products. BC Bike Race gave us so much great swag! Clif Bar, Outdoor Gear Canada, Orange, Cycle Lambert, RaceFace-Easton, and Fittek-Today. Every sponsor provided swag prizes and we are very greatful for their generosity. Double R Rentals provided tents, tables, chairs and generators. The City of Surrey are great partners of SORCE and go to great lengths to help make our events so successful.
