The Physiomoves JunkYard Cross CX race was one of those WOW moments for SORCE as everything fell into place to make for a great event.
The weather was sunny, the Central City Brewery Red Racer beer garden was packed with cheering fans right at the Physiomoves Barriers, the course was our best yet, and the quantity and quality of swag was second to none! The Race Village was humming with excitement throughout the day with racers, spectators and stunned Pickle Ballers! THANK YOU to all of our volunteers who put in countless hours to make this happen.

Swag was donated by Bike Zone, BC Bike Race, Cannondale, Easton Cycling, Giro, Muc Off, Nitro Lube, BONDtraining, Tairin Wheels, and Kicking Horse Coffee. Double R Rentals provided all the infrastructure fencing, tables, chairs, etc.
All podium winners received a pack of beer from Central City, with 1st place also receiving a Physiotherapy JunkYard Cross mug and BONDtraining program certificate. Elite riders received a cash payout and we decorated the winners with our coveted JunkYard Cross custom chain ring medals that now sell on eBay for $ thousands . . . . well ok I exaggerate, but we are pretty proud of them!
My sincere apology to U15 Women's winner Brooke Bates who placed first in her category, and placed 2nd overall within Novice Women for the podium! I messed up the podium winners list and we did not all get to share with her such a well deserved celebration! She did receive her 2nd place medal and swag afterwards. I will do better next time.
