Trivial things you should know about us.

To take up two of the vacant positions is a very talented Kyle Baillie as Secretary and Membership. Kyle has been a SORCE member for many years and recently could be found at various events with registrations, timing, setting up and organizing. Kyle brings a unique talent to the board with his experience in grant writing, administrative expertise and background knowledge that is essential to bringing depth to the team. When not sharpening pencils, Kyle prefers to point the handlebars downhill as he has an intense dislike of the uphill effects of gravity.

Jim Davison, a gifted graphic artist, has stepped into the role of Marketing. His diverse talent can be seen in everything from advertisements for Daryl Evans Racing events, Cycling BC, and probably the wine label that adorns your favourite vintage. A SORCE member for many years, we could find Jim duking it out against other race competitors for Daryl Evans Racing. His re-design of the JunkYard Dog logo will soon be introduced and his talent can be viewed at his web site; jimdavison.jimdo.com

Mike Dolling has been reelected as Race Director. His racing experience and talent is reflected in his high ranking Test of Metal finishes, many other XC races as well as CX racing for Daryl Evans Racing. He has been seen riding a green CX bike with silver shoes and sometimes looks grumpy . . . even when he's winning! Mike is planning an even better race season with the addition of a second Kids Race, the BC Cup XC JYD race and the Toonie Races at SSBP and Shed.

Brett Armstrong has represented the Shed Bike Club for decades and is elected as Delta Water Shed Director. As the 2 clubs have been very close, sharing web site and Toonie race locations, it is only fitting that a Director position be created to better integrate our relationship. His experience leading the Shed Bike Club adds a unique perspective to the SORCE Executive. Brett often starts the Shed races at the back of the pack but somehow manages to pass everyone and finish near the front! Home advantage, I suppose.

Garvey Allisen has been a SORCE member since its inception. He has previously held every executive position and has been elected as Director South, which is all bike parks in Surrey south of Hwy 10. Garvey has a special bond with Latimer Lake and will be leading the refurbishment of the trails. His vast collection of bikes covers the riding styles he continues to enjoy, be it Sunday morning rides through SSBP or night rides at the Shed.

Dale has been involved with SORCE for the past 5 years in various roles including a couple of stints at President. He is currently putting some of his unique skills to use as Director of Advocacy to help champion recreational off road cycling in Surrey. He is a passionate cyclist, both riding for fun and racing with a local team in BMX, road, cyclocross, XC and DH. His whole family is also very active in cycling - it must run in the genes!

Peter Faliszewski has been a SORCE member since 2006, and has held many positions on past executives. He has been volunteering most of his life, from ski patrolling to coaching soccer, and has taken on the challenge of SORCE President. An enthusiastic mountain biker, Peter enjoys everything from XC racing, high alpine riding, to DH. If he isn't building up a new frame set and obsessing over colour coordinating the weight weenie parts spec, he can be found at his shop making carbon composite components for mountain bikes or automobiles.
